Bennington panel bars center hill route challenge
The Bennington County Regional Planning Commission rejected Henry van Loon’s bid to oppose state Highway Department plans for the Manchester Center Hill route of U.S.7. Commissioners argued local selectmen already approved the plan and warned against injecting the commission into a disputed local issue. Van Loon withdrew his motion as colleagues urged waiting for a public hearing.
