Unification Committee Edges Toward Town Wide Vote Plan
The committee debated how to seek voter approval for town unification including the three villages and rural fire district. A single town vote with separate village and fire district ratifications was proposed, though critics argued for outside town input to guard rural interests. Tax impacts were discussed with urban rural tax structures to reflect service levels and future extensions.
