An advertisement from Carmedy's Machinery Agency at 100 Bridge Street Benalla promotes the Land Rover as a versatile four wheel drive vehicle. It highlights utility uses as a light tractor power plant and portable power with a rear PTO for hay-baler, circular saw, air compressor, and milking apparatus. Engine and gearbox specs and a separate Ford Pilot note are included.
Showcased by Messrs Read and Brack are the Triumph Renown with longer wheelbase and luxury interior, price £1360, and the Jaguar Mark V six cylinder with 125 bhp at £1577. Also featured are a Vanguard Panel Van, a Coupe Utility, and a 1000 cc Square Four De Luxe small car.
The Meadows Garage showcases MG 1-1/4 Litre saloon for touring with 70 mph potential, priced at £950 12s. Morris Six on offer with 2214cc overhead cam shaft, four cylinder, 50 bhp, capable of carrying six. price £1160. Riley 2½ litre sports model and a 16 hp large model priced at £745 12s and £841 10s 7d respectively.
