Governor General to land at Benalla en route to Shepparton. Wan garatta resident Mam J F Dundas wins major prize at Wangaratta Show with 126 points, taking One Woman's Work title and multiple firsts. Earlier, Mrs Dundas, formerly Mrs Dalby Dinning, is noted as daughter of Mr and Mrs H Dinning of Loomas Berner Benalla.
The Violet Town Council decided to raise rates in Central and Boutin Ridings from 4 to 7 shillings, while Norus Riding stays at a voting level. The council reports 98 percent current rate payment for the year, and Dr BS L Smith attends Municipal Association conference in Melbourne with his father. An extraordinary election fills a vacancy for Gr Knight on the council after Dr Thomas Giffin’s retirement.
