Minnesota State Rep. L J Lee of the 65th district announced Tuesday April 25 that he will not seek reelection. He serves as assistant minority house leader and said the decision gives counties time to find suitable candidates.

Bemidji area district and polls set for school election

School District No 31 outlines nine polling sites for the May election including the high school, Lincoln, Carr Lake, Navy, Riverside, Solway, Wilton, Northern and Pleasant Valley. voting rules specify boundaries for each site and the Bemidji area townships involved. The board also approves a summer recreation program with city, a summer school, driver education review, minor and major repairs, staff changes, retirements and resignations, and a plan to hire a nurse and teachers while considering consolidations and closures.
