Flour Milling Plant Destroyed by Fire at Campbellsburg
A large flouring mill owned by Breed & Co. at Campbellsburg was completely destroyed by fire Wednesday night at around 14 o clock. The loss included 2,500 bushels of wheat and 100 barrels of flour with the machinery, much of it newly installed, incinerated. There was insurance on the plant, but no fire protection existed in Campbellsburg, hindering any effort to save the mill. The blaze reportedly began at the top of the gabled end and quickly engulfed the structure, leaving no salvageable remains.

Jones of Bedford plans a suit against the B and O Southwestern Railway after the company failed to provide detoured transportation and lodging when amid the March flood he was stranded in Washington for two weeks. Head On Collision On B and O Southwestern Rail Line
A head on crash occurred on the B and O Southwestern at the first curve east of Wallonia between east bound freight No 98 and a westbound extra work train Monday afternoon. No 98 stood on the main track and the work train engineer did not see it in time to stop. Two enginemen were killed when they realized the collision was unavoidable and were not injured. The other crew members escaped injury. No 98 carried a second tank which overturned. Both engines suffered slight damage. Local construction train cleared the tracks soon, delaying only one train briefly. Cause under investigation. Seymour Republican.
