The Bedford Stone Club agreed to furnish twelve stone posts needed to finish the city cluster lighting system. Ten posts remain from the original allotment and will be completed, bringing total posts to the required count. The donation, valued at about 4000, eases delays and saves money for the project.
A moving picture company arrived in the city on Thursday to shoot scenes at local quarries and mills. They will return Friday to film places of interest including the Daily Mail office and carrier force.
The new basin plant began operation Thursday at 10 30 and 28 90 o clock with minor startup delays. City Engineer Malott reports the station works well and water pressure remains steady. A Western Union telegraph operator at Bloomington disappeared Wednesday night, taking the cash from the drawer. The loss was only a few dollars, according to a report received this morning.

The PGA UPS local base ball aggregation suffered a 9 to 8 defeat at Paoli on Wednesday. High scoring game with Paoli edging the visitors in a tense ballpark clash.
A mixed group of Champs and Athletics players plus locals traveled to Paoli on Wednesday and lost 9 to 8. The team led 6-2, Paoli rallied with six runs in the sixth after two were out, and Paoli won on a late ninth inning surge after the locals tied it in the top of the ninth.

Mrs Curtis Dalton died Thursday in DeSoto Illinois from appendicitis while en route to join her husband in Dallas Texas. Her body arrived in the city and was taken to the Dalton home south of town. Funeral services were held at 2 p m and burial followed at Beech Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Cora Corter underwent an operation Thursday at the City Hospital for relief of appendicitis. The operation was performed by Dr. J R Pearson, assisted by Drs McDonald and Norman. The patient was doing well this afternoon.
A boy on a bicycle collided with Jesse Bush's car on Lincoln Avenue this afternoon. The cyclist escaped injury but suffered a badly bent front fork and a ruined tire.
The two year old son of Mr and Mrs Herman Sears of West 20th Street died Thursday at 1 oclock from cholera infantum after a dire illness since Wednesday. Funeral services will be from the home Saturday at 10 am with burial at Green Hill. Constant Gaussin is ill at home.
Nearly 200 friends gathered in Ragsdale grove Heltonville to honor J J Faubion for his 70th birthday with a picnic meal and post card shower. The event featured talks by John Todd and Rev W Eller and ended with a family register filed by the Odd Fellows.
