Mrs Ella Cosner files for divorce from Lawrence W Cosner in Lawrence Circuit Court alleging cruel and inhuman treatment. She cites name-calling and seeks child support for Marie, 16, custody in doubt, with prior divorce suit previously withdrawn. The couple wed August 28 1888 and separated July 22 1913.
Figures issued earlier on southwest city sewer costs were in error regarding lot sizes. The corrected estimate uses a 60 by 160 foot lot at $52, yielding 0.64 cents per square foot. To compute any lot total, multiply width by length and apply the 54 multiplier, then place four decimals.
Local GG A R members traveled to Springville Thursday for the funeral of Abram Baker who died Tuesday at his daughter’s home. The G A R post led services at 10 30 in the forenoon and burial followed in Springville. W A Ramsey sold his West 14th Street residence to Caleb Cobb of Springville who plans to move with his family to the city while they travel in the West before settling.
Mrs Maggie Lee wife of Charles Lee died at her home at 21st and 6th streets after a long illness cancer is given as the cause. She moved to this city from Stonington four years ago and leaves husband two daughters and a son. Funeral services are expected Sunday at Tunnelton with burial there.
Deputy Game and Fish Commissioner W Ki Lamphere recently placed 2,000 smallmouth bass in White river between the Mitchell Pike bridge and the B and O railway. The fish arrived in ten cans and were brought by Richardson truck and distributed from Dr Gardner's motor boat. The commissioner praised the ideal bass conditions and urged the public to protect the young fish while noting ongoing dynamiting and netting concerns. An additional consignment is planned for the area.
Wayne Mitchell son of Dr. E J Mitchell of West 16th street had his right wrist dislocated Thursday while cranking an automobile for a friend. The accident happened in front of the Baker Shoe store on the west side of the public square.
On September 8 the citys boys and girls will begin the fall and winter term in Bedford public schools. The opening day was decided on Wednesday night and follows closely after the county institute date.

The body of James Conley who died at his South G street home was taken to Mitchell at noon Thursday. Funeral services were held in Mitchell at 2 30 this afternoon with burial there.

Local D A R members gathered at Mrs Carrie Dye's N street porch for a Daughters of American Revolution event honoring Mrs Kate Parks Mulkey of Oklahoma City. The visit included a talk on DAR activities, entertainment by Mrs Ray Boruff, and refreshments while guests from Kokomo and Indianapolis attended.
W. H. Webb, a former Bedford citizen, has been confined in City Hospital at Indianapolis for the last month but is convalescent and expected to leave the hospital in a few days.

Louis King and his brother were injured when a scaffold broke during house construction in Oolitic. Louis nearly severed his right index finger while both men sustained severe bruises. Dr. Wray attended and dressed the wounds.
Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Mathers and daughter of New Albany stay with Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Keach on Lincoln Avenue before heading to Bloomington. Mr. Mathers, assistant traffic chief of the Western Union at Louisville, will take his vacation there. Mrs. Sarah J. Sibert and son Ny travel to Indianapolis to establish their future home.
