Edward Jackson 24 shot Henry Leatherman 27 twice with a small revolver at John Standiford's Stonington home in a quarrel over a quart of whiskey. Leatherman wounded but not fatally. Jackson fled to Mitchell to surrender, then an affidavit was filed and deputy sheriffs prepared to arrest him.
