Funeral of Mrs J T Biggs Held at Mitchell
Funeral services for Mrs. J. T. Biggs, who died at her Mitchell home Monday, were held Wednesday at 10 a m from the Methodist church. Rev. John Poucher of Orleans assisted and officiated. he had officiated at her wedding to Dr. Biggs forty years ago and was a longtime family friend. Bailey injured as Monon train strikes wagon at city crossing
W. J. Bailey local electrician escaped with painful bruises after his light wagon was struck by Monon train No. 5 at the Sixteenth Street crossing. The horse bolted, the wagon tipped, Bailey fell and was aided home, with facial cuts and possible hip injury initially feared but no broken bones. The train stopped shortly after the collision.
