Darrow on Stand Dramatic Appeal to Jury
Chicago labor lawyer Clarence Darrow tearfully pleaded innocence before the jury in Los Angeles as District Attorney Ford accuses him of trying to bribe jurors in the McNamara case. He vowed he saved the two defendants and attacked witness Harrington as a traitor, likening him to a steer in a stockyard and insisting he would drink the cup if accused.
