Ambrose Nickless of Bloomington escaped from Policeman Sam Cline while being taken to the city on a twenty mile per hour train. Nickless, sought on an old charge, crawled through a toilet and leaped from the coach window near Harrodsburg. He reportedly rolled down an embankment and appeared uninjured, with no trace found by afternoon.

Right Hand Smashed by Pledge Incident
Addie Easton an employee of the Southeastern Shops was accidentally struck on the palm of the right hand Thursday and the flesh at the side of the hand mashed into a pulp. Oliver Snyder a paroled reformatory prisoner accused of assaulting Mrs. George Lockman in Seymour on Wednesday morning was shot by City Marshal J T Able and Patrolman George Wolfe as he attempted entry and fled to Jeffersonville.
