Train wreck injures many near Leatherwood Creek
A Southeastern train plunged from a bridge over Leatherwood Creek three and a half miles east of the city. Three men were seriously injured and several passengers were bruised. Relief trains and local physicians treated the wounded. Barker of Marion and Hancock of Seymour were the most seriously hurt. The rear tender misaligned, causing the cars to overturn on the curve.
