Indianapolis April 8 United Press reports Crawford Fairbanks millionaire brewer and Democratic leader was subpoenaed by the Marion county grand jury to testify in the local primary election probe. Police chief Ed Holler of Terre Haute also was called as the jury investigates reports that Terre Haute repeaters came to vote.
Mrs. Fannie I. Whalen 42 wife of Charles Wesley Whalen died at her West Tenth Street home Thursday at 7 o clock after a long illness. Survived by her husband two sons and two daughters. Funeral arrangements not yet made.
A small house at Tenth street near the Monon railway, occupied by the Cunningham family who moved from Mitchell a month ago, was badly damaged by a fire at 8 this morning. The blaze, believed caused by a spark from a passing engine, destroyed about half the structure. Insurance estimated at 400 dollars will likely cover the loss.
Ralph Greenwell aged four on North J street died Wednesday night at 7. The body was sent to Loo gootee for burial Friday after funeral services there. Henry Burton, aged ninety two, of near Mitchell, celebrated his birthday Wednesday as his sister Hannah Burton, ninety one, remains the county's oldest residents. Jesse Francis, daughter of Mr and Mrs J B Jacobs on West 13th street, is seriously ill with malaria and complications.

A Presbyterian Church in Brownstown reports the election of C. H. Emery as executive of the Missionary Society. The selection was noted at the Wednesday gathering.
Mrs. C. H. Emery was elected president of the Woman's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian church in the New Albany district. The election occurred Wednesday at Brownsown.
James Hiliott of Huron transfers property to Lyma Gipson, also of Huron.
Dave Martin entered a plea of guilty in police court on intoxication charges and was fined one dollar plus costs.
The three months old baby of Mr and Mrs Ellis Blackwell of Heltonville died Wednesday evening about 6 o clock after a short illness of pneumonia. Burial took place Thursday at 2 o'clock from Gilgal Cemetery. John Tyree has improved his property on L street for his own occupancy.
The 1915 constitution and by laws establish the Consolidated Bands of Southern Indiana with 200 members in uniform. It lists member bands from Bedford Bloomington Bowling Green Clay City Cloverdale Gosport Jasonville Linton Odon Patricksburg Spencer Worthington and sets governance, dues, rehearsal rules, joint concert procedures, uniforms, and penalties for misconduct. It authorizes a president vice president secretary treasurer board of directors and committees.
