Gravity Methodist Church schedules 10 o'clock sermon on The Triumphal Entry followed by church school. Evening service at 7 30 features the last Quarterly Conference of the year with Dr Swick. Gravity and Conway members and others are urged to attend.

Mrs Anna Winemiller aged 81 died at her home near Sheridan on Tuesday March 9 funeral services were held at the Christian church on Thursday afternoon burial followed in the Sheridan cemetery Surviving daughters Mrs Lucy Barton Sheridan and Mrs Guy Anderson Parmell husband Henry and a son precede her in death
Everett Miller and family moved last week to a farm north of Bedford to work for Wilbur Simmons, his brother in law. Willie Ray family moved to the Millers vacated property, owned by Robert Maudlin. Ellea Surplus family moved to a farm six miles northwest of Sheridan from Clyde Scott property.
The Christian Ladies Aid met Wednesday with Mrs. Elmer Hibbs assisted by Mrs. Elliott. Eleven members and two visitors attended. Refreshments were served. Rev. Wm. Gater of Novelty Missouri spent Tuesday night at the L. W. Curry home and visited the D. S. Glass home. he is a former pastor here of the Methodist church.
Mrs. Mary Girling returns home after two months in St. Louis with daughter and son in law Mrs. Earl Hines and Mr. Hines. The Tschetter and Eigbrecht families from Daltom South Dakota visit Rev. E Tschetter and family at the Methodist parsonage. Mrs. Murdock of Worth Missouri cared for aunt Mrs. G F Stingley after hospital discharge in St Joseph.
The Conway church sets a 10 am Sunday school and 11 15 am sermon on The Triumphal Entry. The 7 30 pm Gravity gathering features the final Quarterly Conference of the year with all members urged to attend. Pastor W J Weber presides.
The Conway school election drew a large turnout with 111 ballots cast for two director seats. Cleo Roberts received 69 votes, Fred Gould 64, Raymond Jennings 59, and Claro Wright 29. Sim Beemer was appointed president for the coming year.
Harry W. Hough died suddenly March 13 at his La Grande Oregon home from a heart attack. He was born December 26 1882 to George and Anna Boyd Hough and lived on a farm most of his life. Survived by wife Mable Sargent four children eleven grandchildren mother Anna Hough sister Maude Gillett and predeceased by father and brother Carl. He graduated from Con way High School in 1900.
The Philathea Class met in the church basement on Wednesday March 10 with thirteen members. Mrs. Ginn led the lesson and refreshments were served by three members. The American Legion Auxiliary met on Thursday March 11 at Mrs. Burns home with ten members planning a pot-luck supper at the Legion hall on Saturday March 20 and a card party for all. A free-will offering will aid the Red Cross. Visitors included Mr. and Mrs. James Humphrey of Omaha and others visiting local homes.
Sunday visits noted across the area with guests from Denison Bedford Creston Pickering Villisca Kansas City and Sharpsburg staying with local families. Notable attendees include Mrs Bertha Scroggie Mrs Doris Foster Mr and Mrs Ralph Grenwood Dr Mabel Wintermute and many others visiting relatives and friends.
