Gertrude May of Shenandoah Grand Conductress of Iowa presided over a school of instruction for the Clearfield chapter Tuesday afternoon. A 6 o'clock covered dish luncheon preceded an evening session at 7:30 with over fifty attendees. Visitors included Mrs. Mann, Mrs. Conaway, Miss Irene Rauch of Clearfield, and numerous guests from Sharpsburg, Lenox, Mt. Ayr, Bolckow, Conway, Bedford, and other nearby towns.

David A. Parr died Sunday morning February 26 after months of illness. A Clearfield resident since 1902, he leaves five children. Funeral services were held at Crew Funeral Home with Rev. J. C. Turner presiding. In Lenox, Ralph Crew, Rev. Hutchman and Lois Hargrave attended the four school declamatory contest. Clearfield students Morton Crew Frances Pemberton Lois Swan competed. Mary Swan visited Lee Frost in Gay township and C. M. King in Mt. Ayr.

The O K Community club gathered at the school house Friday evening for its monthly meeting.
