Mrs. Sarah Helen Underwood born December 6, 1847 in Harmony Illinois died Saturday afternoon at her son’s home in Sharpsburg after a year and a half of illness. She married Richard James Underwood December 5, 1865 and lived in Missouri Iowa and Oregon before settling near Conway and Sharpsburg. Survived by four sons ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. husband died in 1905. longtime Methodist church member.
