Clothing Drive Here Nets Van Load For New Orleans
A 40 foot van loaded with clothing left Baytown Friday afternoon for New Orleans. The drive, led by Jack Kimmons of the Wooster Baytown Lions Clubs, collected supplies for Hurricane Betsy victims in Southern Louisiana. Transportation was provided by the National Defense Transportation Association. Organizers thanked Baytown residents, the Fire Department, volunteers, and local media for support and donations of mostly new quality garments.
