Crosby Cougars seek district win over Barbers Hill at home
Crosby aims to beat Barbers Hill in district 19-4A at Crosby Stadium Friday night. Coach Jeff Riordan stresses a win is crucial to staying in the title race and playoff contention as Crosby faces Dayton and Summer Creek next. The Eagles sport a 2-0 start under Ronnie Gage, with a smash-mouth, clock-controlling attack led by Kaleb Denny. Crosby’s defense has forced turnovers but must clean up plays after a tipped ball return for a score. The Cougars’ offense features Aston and Austin Walter, twins stacking 400+ yards in two weeks, plus Justin Walter and Raelon Singleton making key plays.
