Soil Conservation Lines Altered to Suit Needs

Boundaries of two soil conservation districts serving Chambers and Liberty counties were adjusted to better fit geography and economy. Trinity Bay District extends west across the Trinity River to include west Chambers County, while its northern boundary becomes the Chambers Liberty line. Lower Trinity District gains the Liberty County area. The change, authorized by a Texas Legislature act, requires new board members and shifts technical and cost sharing assistance to Anahuac for Chambers County and Liberty for Liberty County farmers.
