The city’s tax equalization board will report to the City Council on Thursday with a total assessed valuation of 143.623 million dollars for the coming fiscal year, up from 137.457 million last year. The increase exceeds the budget figure by 1.323 million. City Manager Fritz Lanham notes the 50 percent valuation rule.
