Crosby High School alumnus Travis Fincher moves from civil engineering to music in Nashville after pursuing drumming roles on ABC TV’s Nashville. He formed Chasin Crazy, signed a record deal, toured nationwide, produced singles, and now stars in a band reality show premiering on Great American Country.

Dredge Spoils Site Hearing Deadline in Baytown
Baytown residents officials and the Houston Galveston Area Council have sent letters to the Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality urging a public hearing on the proposed dredge spoils site near Tri City Beach Road across from the Bay Oaks Harbor Subdivision. The joint notice CB-14-01 sets Oct 10 for hearing requests and Oct 30 for public comments with options to email for hearings.

Highlands Veterans Picnic Honors Service Members at Community Event
Veterans and families invited to a free picnic on Saturday at Highlands Park 604 Highland Woods from 11 to 2 with hot dogs hamburgers and drinks served 1130 to 1300. A car show 1030 to 1330 and bingo at 2 at San Jacinto Community Center accompany the tribute organized eight years ago to thank veterans and spouses.
