Suicide ruling follows fatal motorcycle crash in Crosby area
In the 3200 block of Crosby Cedar Bayou Road a man died and a woman injured when a motorcycle went off the road around 9 p.m. on Sunday. The Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death of 57-year-old Julian Dean Savage of La Porte a suicide, after he drove into the ship channel near Lynchburg Ferry on May 14 with witnesses noting he refused help. Police later investigated a separate Baytown crash where a white GMC Sierra overturned in a ditch in the 2500 block of Main. the driver fled and beer bottles were found at the scene. Other reports include a burglary at Redemption Clothing Wear on North Main Street and a stolen Union Pacific truck from a La Quinta Inn parking lot.
