Airs J Seale of Grace Methodist WSCS was elected president of the Grace Monroe Zone during the regular quarterly meeting in Texas City. Installed with the day’s activities, Mrs from St Merk’s Methodist church served as installation officer. District officers present included Mrs A Perry and Mrs George Flinder. Baytown WSCS sent 58 delegates across Grace, St John’s, St Mary’s and Cedar Bayou churches.

Organ Concert by G Gamer at First Presbyterian Church
G George Gamer of Horace Mann Junior High School faculty presents an organ concert at 6 pm Friday at the First Presbyterian Church. The first 25 minutes will be broadcast on radio station KREL. He studied at Bethel College USC and American University and will perform a varied program ending with Variations on a Hymn Tune. Public invitation extended.

Helping Hands Society Meeting at Parish House

Mrs John T Porter was installed as president of the David G Burnet Parent-Teacher Association at the final meeting of the school term in the school auditorium. Officers include Mrs Bruce Woods vice president secretary Mrs C H Bone treasurer and Mrs William Douglas parliamentarian. Seventeen attendance pins were awarded and the group earned the highest points on the standard sheet at the Baytown Council. The Summer Round-Up is set for May 29 at Baytown Elementary School.

Jaycee ette board of directors met Tuesday night at Clyde File home with Mrs Larry Brennan and others. They discussed assisting the Community Chest with a Baytown business survey and planned the Terrapin Derby sponsors Jaycees. Mrs H M Johnson named Mrs J W Ainsworth chair of the food booth and Mrs Wads Cellam chair of downtown ticket sales. A May 22 dinner at Humble Dining Room was announced with a dinner committee led by Mrs J O W Ainsworth. Refreshments served to 16 members.
