Water bond plan tied to sewage treatment funds
Proponents argue higher ibond interest rates will enable bond sales and raise funds for water treatment, boosting sewage plant investments and federal matching funds. Opponents contend the proposal shifts control from the Legislature to an agency, lacks precise use of bond proceeds, and could force higher state taxes to cover increased interest and budget needs.
