Humble Engineering Lectures Add Four Courses in 1956
Humble’s 1956 engineering program expands with four courses taught by eminent engineers. Over 60 staff members from Baytown Refinery’s Engineering and Mechanical divisions engage in ongoing training begun three years ago to keep pace with engineering advances. Soil Mechanics by Prof. R F Dawson UT focuses on local soil properties and settlement issues relevant to refinery design, while Prof H H Uhtig MIT presents Corrosion in June and Prof Hl Crandall MIT offers Mechanical Vibrations in August.
