Voter interest in the Baytown school board election was mixed as 217 ballots were counted by 10 a.m. in eight of eleven boxes. Four candidates vie for Position 3 and four for Position 4, with notable turnout in Burnet Wooster box and bond votes in the water district. 25000 Quit Long Strike Against L and N
Washington report states over 25000 strikers will return to work at Louisville and Nashville next Monday. Brodie Twin Near Death From Brain Hemorrhage
Rodney Dee Brodie a three year old from Roeck Island Wisconsin remains in a coma after a brain hemorrhage following an exploratory operation. Doctors at University of Wisconsin Hospital reported no change in condition more than 24 hours after the coma began. The twins Roger Lee and Rodney Dee were born September 16, 1951, joined at the head with legs pointing opposite directions.
