Schools Averts Strike Agreement In Gary, Ind
Representatives of the American Federation of Teachers and the Gary school board reached an agreement Wednesday night averting a possible strike at 25 public schools. Nearly 500 teachers had threatened to walk out at the schools which educate about 30,000 pupils.
