Baytown Man Killed in Stabbing On California Street
Miguel Hernandez, 25, was found mortally wounded after an apparent stabbing in the 1700 block of California Street in Baytown early Monday. Police, led by Captain Roger Clifford, are interviewing family and associates, with motive and suspects undetermined. Hernandez had recently moved from a residence and was last known to be living on Willow Street. The homeowner, who did not answer the door, woke a neighbor to call police. Hernandez died before officers arrived.

Motorcyclist Dies in Spur 330 Crash
A man in his 50s, Burl Allbrooks, died Saturday night after his 2000 Honda Shadow bike left Spur 330, struck a metal guardrail in a curve, and skidded about 200 yards. Investigators say speed may have been a factor as he was northbound near Interstate 10 west.
