Baytown Ducks Rescued From Storm Drain
Baytown animal control and public works crews rescued 11 ducklings from a storm drain on Canterbury Drive near Tompkins Drive after residents heard peeping. A public works supervisor crawled through the drain guiding the birds into a net. a resident planned to raise and release the ducklings into a Cedar Bayou stream. The mother duck was not found.

GCCISD Restructures Elementary and Junior Schools Only
Goose Creek CISD trustees approved rezoning for elementary and junior high schools to ease crowding and align with enrollment projections. The high schools were left untouched. BHISD faces higher wind insurance costs in 2011 12

About 375 first graders in Barbers Hill ISD will explore the world of agriculture during the annual April 21 Ag Day hosted by the Barbers Hill FFA Chapter.
