Two Boys Struck in Highlands by Cars and Trailer
Two small boys were treated at San Jacinto Memorial hospital after separate Saturday traffic accidents in Highlands. Emil Johnson eight, son of B. F. Johnson, suffered a severe head injury when he collided with a car driven by Patti Willington George of Houston and then the trailer struck him. Jerry Don Smith five, son of Elliott Smith, was in serious condition after being run over by a car at a drive in theater intersection, with three teeth knocked out and bruising. Deputy Sheriff Robert Earl Hasley investigated both incidents. no charges were filed in the Johnson case, while witnesses described the dark club coupe involved in the Smith accident.
