Air France hijacker arrested in Geneva landing
A lone hijacker diverted an Air France plane carrying 68 aboard from Frankfurt to Paris and forced it to land in Geneva. After nearly five hours he was arrested by Swiss police. Fifty four passengers and six crew members were freed unharmed at 1 20 PM. Seven other passengers were freed earlier. The hijacker, about 30 years old and multilingual, was in custody at the airport. Police negotiated with him.
