Governor Smith’s Week of Campaign Speeches Across Texas
Governor Preston Smith plans a busy schedule this week with talks from Brownsville to North Texas. He will address the 15th Senatorial District Democratic Club in Houston Tuesday, speak at the South Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association in Brownsville, attend a Grand Prairie Woman’s Club reception, and speak in Arlington at the Grand Prairie Rotary Club installation banquet. Friday he appears in Stephenville for Rep. Tom Holmes’s appreciation dinner, then caps the week with the Knox County vegetable festival barbecue honoring Rep. W. S. Heatly of Paducah, House Appropriations Committee chair.
