Texas Oil Allowable Highest Ever Stated
The Texas Railroad Commission raised the July oil production allowable to 42.9 percent of potential, the highest factor to date. The move, prompted by the Middle East crisis, follows a June 5 decision setting 35.5 percent for June. The July factor enables up to 3,522,042 barrels per day, boosting state revenue and domestic supply concerns while warning against an oil glut without careful stock and import control.
