Roquemore family will travel to Texas City for the funeral Monday Ehrhardt Graduates LEON EHRHARDT, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. EB. Ehrhardt of 160L. E. James, has graduated at Sheppard's AFB from the Training course for freight specialists. Completes Training GEORGE. RECTOR, airman third class, has graduated from the Air Force technical training school at Sheppard AFB. Rector is the son of Mrs. Paul EF. Rector of 206 Pamela Drive. Record heat hits 98 degrees in Houston Baytown area

Sunday brought a major heat spike as the Hous Baytown region reached 98 degrees, first such high in two years. Unofficial Baytown readings ranged 89 to 101, with downtown Houston at 100 in sunward heat. The 98 degree mark ties the June 25 record set in 1944, part of a season with 16 high-temperature records this year.

Water Pollution Board Will Meet in Houston

The nine member water pollution control advisory board chaired by President Lyndon Johnson will hold a public meeting at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Crystal Ballroom of the Rice Hotel in Houston. The board, on a four day Texas tour, will discuss Houston Ship Channel and Galveston Bay pollution, the Texas Water Plan proposing 53 reservoirs and facility improvements, and industrial and domestic waste issues.

Police Training To Start Aug 1 In Baytown

President Johnson's Grandson Makes Public Hospital Debut

Luci Nugent and infant Patrick Lyndon left Seton Hospital for home amid a delay to mid afternoon. The White House said photographers may capture the family at the emergency entrance. Nurse Mary Gfeller, Swiss-born and seasoned with Johnson aides’ families, will care for the baby for weeks.

Kosygin Leaves U S After Nine Day Talks At UN

Soviet Premier Kosygin flew from New York to Cuba after nine days in the United States. He met with President Johnson in Glassboro and spoke at the United Nations General Assembly about the Middle East crisis. He defended his Arab policy and signaled possible stops in Paris.
