Lee College Contract Scrutiny Raises Bid Concerns
Baytown businessman James Haarmeyer questioned Lee College construction contracts during a Lee College Board of Regents meeting. He alleges lack of competitive bidding on a $674,760 Duratech contract and questions subcontractor disclosures. College president Dr. Dennis Brown defended full open records compliance and adherence to procurement plans. Haarmeyer hints at reviewing further large contracts amid election involvement with regents Hall and Himsel.
