Resident Of Huffman Dies In Car Crash
A Huffman woman, Willa Mae Chapman, -- died at the scene Friday after a two car crash on SH 1960 near Lakeside east of Huffman. Her 13-year-old daughter Janet was unconscious at Dayton Memorial Hospital. The other driver, Tommie Earl Johnson, 21, of Beaumont, was charged with negligent homicide and passing within 100 feet of an intersection. his wife and daughter were treated and released. Chapman's body was transported to Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton with services tentatively set for 10 a.m. Monday.
