Barbers Hill School Board tentatively approves an $881,700 budget for 1970 and a tax rate cut from 1.58 to 1.52 pending a July 27 public hearing. LC Director Named To Personnel Post
John McCormick, director of special programs at Lee College, has been named director of Region V of the Correctional Education Association. The eight-region national group serves professional personnel in correctional institution education across Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Services pending for George Frank McClure 50 of 1602 Richardson Lane who was killed Sunday morning while crossing U S Highway 190 in West Baton Rouge Parish Louisiana.
