Man drowns while trying to rescue teenagers at Banana Bend
In Harris County, a 45-year-old man died after attempting to save a 13-year-old during a drowning incident in Banana Bend along the San Jacinto River. A second rescuer pulled the man and the teen to shore, CPR was performed, and a 17-year-old was airlifted to a Houston hospital. The 45-year-old died at a local hospital.
