Group To Protest Closing Of Pools In Baytown
The Baytown Human Relations Council will send a letter to the school board protesting the closing of Robert E. Lee and Carver Jones pools this summer. The council plans focus areas housing jobs and improving communications with a possible question answer service. Capital Improvements OK May Clear Street and Sewer Work
Baytown City Council may clear the way Thursday night for street sewer and related construction under the voter approved 11.6 million capital improvements plan. City Manager Voelkel said a new ordinance authorizing Mayor Walker to sign preliminary engineering contracts will be drafted.
