Residents Detain Burglar Suspects Before Police Arrival
Two Baytown men were arrested and charged after residents intervened in suspected burglaries and restrained the suspects before officers could arrive. In the first incident on Arrowhead Drive, a man in his mid forties held a 33 year old suspect in a street struggle after detecting a break in his car. The resident had recently fallen victim to house and car burglaries and heard a suspicious noise, finding the suspect inside the front seat with the center console rifled through. The officer on scene advised the resident to keep hold of the suspect until arrest.
