Three men arrested after Baytown bank robbery
Baytown police arrested three Houston men minutes after a midday robbery at Community Bank 8010 Highway 146. The suspects entered at 12:20 p.m. threatened staff, bound their hands, and fled west on I 10 in a green Dodge Intrepid. They were Paul Ballard 51 Carl Malone 48 and Jose Quintanilla 25. FBI Houston will lead the investigation with Chambers County Sheriff and Texas Rangers assisting.

Missing worker in north Texas gas explosion
CLEBURNE AP reports a large natural gas line exploded after utility workers hit it. Thirteen workers onsite were accounted for, no fatalities known. The missing worker had just departed a drilling machine when the line erupted, and searchers scoured the charred area for him.
