Baytown Council Deliberates Brumback Evaluation Amid Meeting Crowd
About 150 people packed the Baytown Council Chamber to discuss two items. A lawsuit over a Cedar Bayou barge terminal near Roseland Park drew little action. The main focus was Brumback’s performance evaluation, added to the agenda late Friday. The vote to evaluate Brumback was tabled and no action taken. The mayor outlined the next steps, with forms to be completed by council members and HR, a June 10 workshop to set goals, and a three month follow up. An ad hoc committee will also task a firm to investigate accusations against Brumback by June 22. DonCarlos urged Brumback’s input before the June 10 meeting.
