Insurance payout ends decade long battle over wrongful death case
After ten years of litigation, Andrea Robinson won a $958,000 verdict in a Harris County case against Home State County Mutual Insurance and Paragon Insurance Group. The trial court found the driver negligent and awarded $458,000 in actual damages plus $500,000 in punitive damages, upheld by the Texas Supreme Court after appeals.
