Baytown School District Maintains 20 Schools Year Round

The unit runs 34 bus routes daily, employs 8 full time drivers and 12 teacher drivers, with 3,500 to 3,600 pupils bused last year. Nearly 1,800 motors and hundreds of other fixtures demand constant repairs. Safety concerns push pickups inside two miles despite nonpayment. The grounds crew manages summer workloads across 20 schools and undeveloped land projects.
