Baytown man stabbed during Lyft style robbery after ride offers
A 31-year-old Baytown man gave a ride to two strangers who appeared friendly and were invited into his home on West Baker Road. The trio reportedly drank alcohol, argued, and a knife was produced, resulting in the victim being stabbed in the hand during the struggle. Police were dispatched at 3:15 a.m. to the apartment in the 4200 block. The two assailants fled with valuables after the assault. The case continues as investigators pursue leads and identify the suspects.

Underage drinking arrests after Baytown chase ends at party
Baytown police arrested four people, including three minors, on minor in possession and evading arrest charges after a 3:15 am pursuit. The Cedar Bayou Watershed Partnership plans a public meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday August 15 at the Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Center in Baytown. Facilitated by the Houston Galveston Area Council and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, the group includes local stakeholders from across the Cedar Bayou watershed. The watershed drains Cedar Bayou, forming the Harris County border.
