San Jacinto Methodist Hospital honors May DAISY Award recipient Ann Johnson RN of the Outpatient Treatment Unit for addressing a life threatening patient issue. Johnson reviewed records, flagged a test result needing immediate attention, and aided a patient’s quick recovery. DAISY Foundation representative Tena Barnes Carraher presented the award.

Man assaulted in alley injures victim on Indiana Street

A man was beaten by several Hispanic males in an alley in the 3100 block of Indiana Street around 2 a.m. Saturday leaving a black eye swollen face and missing teeth. He was taken to Bayshore Hospital for treatment. No weapons were used and suspects were not identified.
