Rudder at A&M and Normandy Hero Remembered
The book Rudder From Leader to Legend profiles Earl Rudder a D-Day hero and Texas leader who guided the Rangers at Pointe du Hoc and later moved from land commissioner to head of Texas A&M. It details his role in desegregating leadership at A&M, boosting higher education funding, and shaping its modern era. The work by Dr. Tom Hatfield ties Rudder’s wartime courage to his political and educational reforms and notes the forthcoming Texas A&M Press release and book club availability.
