Pace Engineering Starts Work On New Building In Houston
Pace Engineering Co limited, with offices in Baytown, began construction this week on a new Houston building valued at about 200000 dollars. Architect Lowell Lammers, AIA, says completion is aimed for January or February 1903. The three story cement stucco exterior over a steel frame sits on the La Porte Freeway at Broadway, with Bayport Construction as general contractor. Pace includes Pace Engineering and Pace Chemical, headed by W D Broyles and Warren Askey of Baytown, a merger dating back about 16 years. The firm plans Baytown area facilities for customer convenience. The 18000 square foot structure rises on millars to serve regional clients.
