Fire Chief Shon Blake announced the Baytown FCPEMSD remains ready to begin design of a new Fire Training Facility on ExxonMobil land bought for 10. Cleanup of surface trash and an old 1930s house will delay land acquisition by six to eight weeks. ExxonMobil will cover cleanup costs. The facility, funded by 2006 sales tax, is due for completion by 2011, before voters renew the district’s five year term.
